The Shreveport Airport Authority is charged with the operation and maintenance of Shreveport Downtown Airport, a general aviation airport, and Shreveport Regional Airport, a commercial small hub airport. Both airports serve the citizens of Shreveport and the surrounding region, including North Louisiana, East Texas, and Southwest Arkansas. The Airport Authority is represented by a five-person voluntary board which serves on rotating terms. The board members are appointed on a staggered basis by the Mayor of Shreveport, presently Mayor Cedric Glover.
