SWA manages this project for the Sustainable Buildings Industry Council, under contract with the US Department of Energy. High-Performance Schools workshops have been developed and delivered to encourage the design and construction of energy efficient and green schools. Since 1999, SBIC has conducted more than a dozen major workshops and related presentations to architects, engineers, and school decision-makers about the benefits of high-performance school buildings and the design strategies to achieve them. SBIC,s Schools Team developed the High Performance School Buildings Resource and Strategy Guide as the primary teaching tool for the workshops.
