About
Jurlique started with a dream: to connect people back to nature. Dr Jürgen Klein and his wife Ulrike had always been passionate believers in the healing power of nature. Their vision was to create a pure and natural skin care range that would combine the ancient arts of alchemy and homeopathy to reconnect people to nature, and inspire them to wellbeing. Ulrike and Jürgen knew they had the ability to create such a range. Jürgen was a biochemist, Ulrike a botanist, and both had grown up surrounded by nature. But this was back in the 1980s, when ?natural?? and ?organic?? skin care was unheard of. Beauty products came from the lab, not the land. The Kleins were undeterred. They refused to be swayed from their belief that nothing manufactured could come close to what nature could provide when it came to truly healthy, beautiful skin. So they began their search for the perfect place to realise their dream. From Germany to the Adelaide Hills Ulrike and Jürgen soon realised they couldn?t find the unpolluted soil and Mediterranean climate they needed to grow pure and potent ingredients in their native Germany. After searching the world, they discovered the unspoiled Adelaide Hills in South Australia ? and they knew their pioneering company had found its natural home. It was here the Kleins found the pristine land they needed to establish their farm. They left Germany and the lives they knew behind, and set off to the other side of the world with their children. They decided to call their new brand ?Jurlique?? ? a combination of both their first names. Today, Jurlique products are sold in more than 19 countries around the world. And our most iconic natural ingredients are still grown in the Adelaide Hills where Jurlique first began. Natural Skincare, Natural Expertise, Commitment to Environmental Sustainability
