Gritty in Pink is a new platform empowering women in music through an online network, virtual events, media content and lifestyle partnerships. Founder Shira Yevin has a legendary history of breaking down barriers and carving out a space for women, as the creator of the Vans Warped Tour Shiragirl Stage, which showcased 300+ female musicians including Joan Jett and Paramore. Gritty in Pink continues the legacy of providing community and a stage for female voices in a male-dominated industry. Gritty in Pink created Gritty Rocks Live (GRL), a weekly themed Instagram livestream show featuring female musicians from across the country, and beyond. In 2020, Gritty in Pink started a successful monthly event in Los Angeles; during the COVID-19 quarantine, we then created GRL, to provide artists with connection and performance opportunities. Every week, GRL features a live charity fundraiser, sponsor giveaways, intimate performances, artist interviews, and audience engagement.
