EPS is one of Oklahoma's fastest-growing districts, serving more than 8,100 students in a supportive community of 50,000. District enrollment has increased by 1,700 students in just ten years. We recently completed $99 million of renovations and construction across the district, including the addition of two new elementary schools. The district promotes innovative learning and the use of technology, providing iPads and SMARTBoards for student and teacher use. Our recently adopted â??Bring Your Own Deviceâ?? program allows students to maximize technology for learning.\r\n\r\nEPS, a National Math and Science Initiative district, recently opened a University Center on the Enid High campus. With an extensive slate of college dual credit and AP courses, its academic program can save students more than $30,000 in college expenses. \r\n\r\nOur youngest students benefit from developmentally appropriate full-day prekindergarten classes, including two intergenerational programs. A local fundraising campaign and foundation grant recently garnered $250,000 to expand the early childhood program.\r\n\r\nThe heart and soul of our district is our highly effective teaching staff and support team. Through Professional Learning Communities, they continue to strengthen instruction and encourage development â?? for themselves and for students.\r\n\r\nOur district has been featured in three national magazines since the fall of 2010. EPS also is home to five 2012 and 2013 National Merit Scholar Finalists and a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School.\r\n\r\nIn addition to a dynamic public school foundation, the district has hundreds of volunteers who help make our schools better places to learn. In the last six years, the community has donated more than $5 million in private funds to EPS for special projects.\r\n\r\nOur compensation package includes a competitive salary scale, district-paid retirement and fully funded health insurance, as well as other perks that make EPS a great place to work and to grow.
