Verité is an independent, non-profit socially responsible auditing, training, capability building and research organization established in 1995. Our mission is to ensure that people worldwide work under safe, fair and legal working conditions. We achieve this by partnering with corporations, NGOs, governments, and international institutions. Our experience spans over 70 countries and territories. Advise governments on ways to improve labor laws and strengthen protections for workers (examples include: United States, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand and the European Parliament)Assist investors to understand the actions that companies can take to ensure effective management of risks of labor violations in contracted supply chains, and to understand the geographic and demographic context of such risks.
