HMSA is a nationally recognized leader in the behavioral health care field focusing on Employee Assistance and Wellness Programs. For over 33 years, HMSA has been providing quality, professional EAP services based on a resolution model that includes comprehensive assessment, short-term problem resolution and, when clinically necessary, referral of individuals to long-term treatment providers.
HMSA's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a voluntary, confidential service that provides professional counseling and referral services designed to help your employees with personal, job or family related problems. Our highly experienced - 17 years average post graduate clinical experience - Master's level counselors maximize problem resolution within your EAP and reduce client health care costs. Our EAP counselors assist employees in all areas that may affect their work performance, including: alcohol/substance abuse, family issues, financial and legal problems, behavioral problems and/or physical and emotional illness.
Supporting HMSA's EAP/Work-Life & Managed Care staff is our extensive national network of professional behavioral specialists who meet strict credentialing requirements (HMSA minimally requires a Master's degree within a clinical discipline or PhD in Psychology and at least three years of post-graduate experience). This network includes more than 13,000 behavioral professionals in over 3,000 cities throughout the Continental United States, Alaska, Puerto Rico and Hawaii.
