Established in 1986, The Rose's mission is to reduce deaths from breast cancer by providing screening, diagnostics and access to treatment for all women, regardless of their ability to pay. The Rose is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) breast health organization, offering a full range of breast cancer screening and diagnostic services, for insured and uninsured women and men, including mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsies and access to treatment. The Rose is one of the leading breast diagnostic facilities in Greater Houston and serves 25 counties via its mobile mammography fleet. Insured women choose The Rose for its quality breast health care and because their mammograms help offset the cost for those who cannot afford to pay. While other organizations provide screening mammograms at low or no cost to women in need, no other organization offers the uninsured a continuum of care from initial mammography to diagnostic evaluation and, when necessary, access to treatment. Nearly 35,000 patients from throughout southeast Texas are served each year. Donations support sponsored procedures--those services provided at no charge to the under/uninsured. Donor-directed gifts (restricted) may support patient navigation services, medical equipment, special programs, or to help establish an endowment. Information about The Rose, its services, events, and opportunities to support its mission, can be found at its website, www.TheRose.org nd on its Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/TheRoseBreastHealth).
