The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office manages grant programs to create outdoor recreation opportunities, protect the best of the state's wildlife habitat and working lands, and help return salmon from near extinction. It is home to the following: • Recreation and Conservation Funding Board • Salmon Recovery Funding Board • Invasive Species Council • Governor’s Salmon Recovery Office • Habitat and Recreation Lands Coordination Group Since the agency began in 1964, it has awarded an average of 230 grants a year, a $60 million investment in Washington’s communities and our shared quality of life.
