In 1956, Paolo Soleri and his late wife, Colly, incorporated the Cosanti Foundation, a not-for-profit educational organization devoted to the support of Soleri's noted architectural and urban planning research. Today, the primary areas of the Foundation's work are: * Educating students, design professionals, urban planners and the general public about Soleri's architectural concepts and philosophy. * Ensuring the continuing construction of Arcosanti, a project dedicated to reducing human impact on the environment while improving quality of life based on the Arcology concept.
