In 1961 Adhesives Research, Inc., was founded to supply specialty adhesive-coated materials not found anywhere else. Early projects concentrated in the graphic arts field, and also included designing and building adhesive coating equipment. From its humble beginnings in a converted garage, Adhesives Research (AR) grew steadily and pioneered work in high-performance, pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes.
