The Audit Bureau of Circulations is a not-for-profit organization established in 1914. ABC is the leading third-party auditing organization in the U.S. and its publication audits are conducted in accordance with rules established by its Board of Directors. These rules govern not only how audits are conducted, but also how publishers report their circulation figures. ABC's Board of Directors is comprised of 36 members, including representatives from the publishing and advertising communities. ABC strives to conduct audits that set the industry standard for integrity, objectivity, and accuracy, and uses state-of-the-art techniques to produce and disseminate ABC-audited information.
