The Brighton Fire Department serves portions of the Towns of Brighton and Pittsford in Monroe County, New York. We border the City of Rochester to the northwest, Penfield to the northeast, East Rochester to the east, Pittsford to the southeast, and West Brighton to the southwest.
Since 1925, Brighton Fire Department has had a "combination" staffing model where the benefits of a full-time staff of firefighters is "combined" with the benefits of a roster of 90+ volunteer firefighters. We are a role model organization for other fire departments seeking to deliver efficient, cost-effective fire rescue services in an urban/suburban setting.
We are always interested in hearing from members of our community who may be able to volunteer with us in one of the following roles: (A)Volunteer Firefighting; (B)Volunteer Scene Support; (C)Specific Administrative Support. Please contact us at join@brightonfd.org or 585-209-9020 or visit us at www.brightonfd.org/join to learn more.
