The Champaign County Humane Society (CCHS) is an independant non-governmental not-for-profit animal welfare agency located in Urbana, Illinois.
CCHS operates an open admission animal shelter that accepts all companion animals in need of shelter regardless of age, breed, medical condition, or suitability for adoption. There is no time limit for animals available for adoption and all cats and dogs are spayed/neutered before adoption. CCHS serves approximately 2,100 animals annually.

Statement of Purpose: To prevent cruelty to animals, to promote animal welfare, to educate the public about the humane care and treatment of animals, to increase public awareness of the companion animal overpopulation issue and to provide solutions, and to provide high quality shelter, medical, and adoption services for animals when necessary.
