The Folk Festival Society of Calgary is a year-round arts presenter with its own special vibe, long history and fiercely loyal fans. Featuring a summer festival powered by over 1,800 volunteers, the Calgary Folk Music Festival is a 4-day festival taking place on the fourth weekend of July. Block Heater is a multi-venue festival which celebrated its inaugural year in 2016, and warmed up Calgary once again in 2018. Hosting our permanent office space and a 225 capacity performance space, Festival Hall is a year-round home to intimate concerts and events.
