Scary Cow sadly closed its doors on December 23rd, 2020 due to the pandemic. Scary Cow was a community-based film incubator. The idea was simple: Instead of paying your cable company a monthly fee to waste your life, take that money and invest it into your dream of being more involved in making films. Meet and work with local filmmakers of all levels. Scary Cow connected you with other filmmakers to work on projects as a team. By connecting with other filmmakers in the San Francisco Bay Area you could make great local contacts - which is what this industry is all about! What IS the Scary Cow model? We are a film collective. Members of Scary Cow form into small teams each working on their own films. If the other members decide the project you worked on is one of the best, Scary Cow will give your team a budget to help finance your next project. Continue to create outstanding films, and you'll continue to receive a budget from Scary Cow to fund it! Learn to make films by actually making films! Join us!
