Ben Jumper, former owner of Mid America, and the late John Wayne, former owner of PAW, have been regarded as successful entrepreneurs in the entertainment labor business for more than 30 years. Both toured the country in the late seventies and early eighties where they learned firsthand what bands and promoters expected from the labor company – a successful event requires a successful crew. Although they didn’t tour together, both Ben and John saw the need for localized quality labor and individually started their labor companies in the Southeast. As the request for quality technical labor continued to grow, so did their companies and their mutual desire to ensure the best crew for every event. The two decided to join forces with the help of two other respected entertainment industry leaders – Charlie Brusco to represent the promoter’s point of view and Crook Stewart to keep the company abreast of current touring requirements. Since that day in May of 1992, Crew One Productions has been providing quality production and event labor services to the entertainment industry throughout the South. We currently have offices in Atlanta, Chattanooga, Nashville, and Memphis, and our festival division has the ability to staff events nationwide. We are evolving with the industry as members of the Event Safety Alliance as well as a recognized ETCP labor provider. We continually strive to reinforce safety on the job site with our implementation of morning safety meetings, with hi-vis vest and hardhats on all job sites. It is our goal to provide a safe workplace for our workers and clients. Look for the Crew One name to open doors to more markets in the near future!
