Although you’ll find many details about Soka University of America under the appropriate pull-down tabs, let me share my pride that SUA’s Graduate School opened at the Calabasas campus in 1994 with the first class of students pursuing the Master of Arts degree in Second and Foreign Language Education with a concentration in teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and SUA’s Undergraduate Program began delivery of its Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts program at the Aliso Viejo campus in August 2001. Both the Calabasas campus, nestled in a valley of the Santa Monica Mountains, and the Aliso Viejo campus, just two miles from the Pacific Ocean near Laguna Beach, manifest unique educational missions.
