Romark Logistics is an organization whose history is steeped nearly 50 years in the traditional concept of warehousing and distribution, and has emerged as a leader in the industry. LOGISTICS, a term that has emerged as the buzzword in the 90's, is a concept that we have been perfecting for almost 50 years. Today, concepts such as globalization, international trade, supply chain management and logistics roll easily off the tongues of people involved in warehousing and distribution. At Romark Logistics, we have helped to set the standard. Roy Lebovitz, CEO of Romark Logistics Inc., was among those who evolved warehousing and distribution from the 'hold and release' process into the sophisticated industry it is today. Our first warehouse in Newark, NJ was 5,200 square feet and was used for regional deliveries and storage for candy until it could be shipped to the West Coast. Soon after, we opened a 52,000 square foot warehouse in Port Newark, to accommodate the need for more space and to be closer to the ocean transportation providers. All general transportation interests benefited from the infrastructure that grew around the bustling Port region. Today the Port of NY/NJ is the 2nd largest port in the United States. Today, Romark Logistics and East Coast Warehouse & Distribution Corp. is an integral and essential part of our customers' supply chain in the United States and Canada. We get products where they have to be, in perfect condition, at the precise time.
