Rancocas Valley Regional School District was built on the ruins of a private school for boys that was abandoned at the time of the Civil War. The school was ready for occupancy in 1937. The board was elected in 1935. The school itself was originally named Mount Holly High. It was not until the 1960's that the school was known as Rancocas Valley High School. As student occupancy increased, additions to the original structure were made in 1947, 1953, 1957, 1962, 1965. Additional renovations and some modernization took place in the late 1980's.
