Founded in 1946, Easter Seals Greater Houston serves individuals with ALL types of disabilities, as well as their families. Through a staff of over 180+ professionals, we serve more than 10,000 families annually through direct services in Houston and surrounding counties and reach over 23,000 monthly through our program websites. Easter Seals Greater Houston, Inc. is a non-profit corporation established to provide comprehensive services to individuals of all ages with all types of disabilities and their families. As the only local organization providing comprehensive services to individuals and families affected by disabilities, Easter Seals of Greater Houston operates multiple programs: Early Childhood Intervention; Respite Services; Toy/Tech and BridgingApps; High School/High Tech; Home of Your Own; Children's Therapy Services; The Caroline School; Camps, Counseling and Case Management; Transition Services, Adult Services and Veteran Services. WHY IT IS IMPORTANT The U.S. Census in 2000 reported one in five Americans is living with a long-term condition or other disability which means that the demand for our services continues to grow. The CDC reports that one in six children has a developmental delay and we are here to meet the needs of a large and growing population. Easter Seals mission is to provide exceptional services to people with disabilities and their families so they can live, work, learn and play in our communities.
