The New York State Division of the Budget (DOB) is the primary fiscal adviser to the Governor and is charged with developing, negotiating, and implementing a $150 billion dollar State budget --one of the largest government budgets in the country. The staff at DOB serve as an elite team of professionals, providing analysis and guidance to the Governor and the Governor’s staff. Additionally, DOB staff work closely with state agencies to coordinate the development and execution of their policy programs, ensuring the Budget Office is involved in every facet of New York State’s government.
