E&A Credit Union was chartered in 1935 by the State of Michigan to service area educators and their associates. Since that time, the Office of Financial and Insurance Services has granted the requests of numerous local credit unions to merge with E&A. Membership and assets continued to grow as hundreds of local companies requested the advantage of offering E&A Credit Union membership to their employees. We hit a milestone in 2002, reaching over 36,000 members and over $160 million in assets. While size alone is not important, being in Michigan's top 10% of credit unions does provide economies of scale benefits to our member-owners. Our growth over the past 71 years has given us the opportunity to add locations and expand our services. Members of E&A now have access to their accounts and services from anywhere, at any time. We have four convenient locations and are partners in Family Service Centers - providing an additional 20 service locations in lower Michigan. We also offer services such as online banking and bill pay and e-statements.
