The Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta, also known as FIJI or Phi Gam, was founded at Jefferson College, now Washington & Jefferson College, on May 1, 1848. The Fraternity has expanded to over 150 of the foremost colleges and universities of the United States and Canada, growing its membership to over 90,000 living brothers.\r\n\r\nPhi Gamma Delta exists to promote lifelong friendships, to reaffirm high ethical standards and values, and to foster personal development in the pursuit of excellence. Phi Gamma Delta is committed to provide opportunities for each brother to develop responsibility, leadership, scholarship, and social skills in order to become a fully contributing member of society.
