Yuma School District One is the largest elementary school district in Yuma County with over 8,000 kindergarten through eighth grade students and more than 1,300 employees. We operate 12 elementary, three junior high, two middle schools, and an online school. Yuma, with a population of approximately 110,000 full-time residents, is located on the southwestern tip of Arizona bordering California and the Republic of Mexico. A rich cultural heritage of Hispanic, Anglo, and Native American influences, coupled with a large number of military families and winter visitors from throughout the nation, has enriched the district with a diverse student population representing many cultural and ethnic backgrounds. "We prepare our students to succeed in a global community."
