About
Zambrero is Mexican with a Mission: a fast casual restaurant group in the form of a humanitarian organisation committed to tackling world hunger donating a meal to developing countries for every burrito or bowl sold. Zambrero's menu features all the Mexican favourites such as tacos, burritos and nachos, with slow-cooked meats spiced with herbs, the freshest of accompaniments from lettuce to fiery jalapenos and a range of sides such as homemade guacamole. Since being formed in 2005 by Dr Sam Prince, over 6,500,000 of meals have been provided to those living in poverty around the world through the Plate 4 Plate initiative. As of October 2015, there are currently 93 Zambrero restaurants globally. The first overseas restaurant opened in Bangkok in July 2014 ahead of the first New Zealand restaurants in November 2014. Zambrero will open its first restaurants in the Ireland in 2016. Zambrero secured a deal with JV partners to open restaurants across the ASEAN region and Hong Kong (11 countries in total). Zambrero received the Australian Business Award 2014 for Community Contribution as a result of its Plate 4 Plate initiative. Zambrero was also recognised by the Quick Service Restaurant industry which awarded the franchise Best Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative for the same reason. Zambrero has also been recognised not once but four times as one of Australia's fastest growing franchises (2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014) by leading magazine Business Review Weekly. www.zambrero.com Franchising, Mexican Food, Humanitarian Initiatives, Burritos, Tacos, Superfood, Innovation, Philanthropy
