Northwest Oncology & Hematology, S.C., has been serving adult patients with malignant diseases and blood disorders since 1978. The physicians, nurses and staff of Northwest Oncology & Hematology strive to provide the highest quality, individualized care for our patients in a compassionate, attentive manner. Oncology is the branch of medicine that deals with malignant (cancerous) disorders of any organ system. The physicians at Northwest Oncology & Hematology, S.C., are medical oncologists. Although the specific modalities of treatment offered in our offices are chemotherapy, immune therapy, and hormonal treatment, medical oncologists routinely direct the care of cancer patients and refer patients for surgical intervention or radiation treatments as indicated. Hematology is the study of disorders of the blood system. These may be either cancerous, such as leukemias or lymphomas, or benign, such as anemia and blood clotting disorders. All of our physicians have extensive experience in the evaluation and management of these diseases.
