San Francisco Federal Credit Union is a community-based financial institution exclusively serving the San Francisco community. We are a member-owned financial cooperative established in 1954. Today, anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in San Francisco may apply for membership. At San Francisco Federal Credit Union, financial safety is our first concern. For that reason, each member's accounts are federally insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund , an U.S. federal agency. IRAs are separately insured by NCUSIF for up to $250,000.
