Homeport Mission: To create a cornerstone of dignity, security and opportunity through quality affordable homes and strong communities. Homeport is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives by strengthening the home. Since its inception in 1987, Homeport has given greater dignity and opportunity to thousands of low-income people by building quality, affordable homes. In the understanding that providing a roof over someone’s head is only the start of a stronger home, Homeport surrounds residents with comprehensive support to promote long-term stability and health. Homeport and its partners organize out-of-school programs, free produce markets, school supply drives, and more for hundreds of residents every year. Homeport also develops new and renovated for-sale homes to catalyze neighborhood revitalization throughout Central Ohio, and provides public classes and one-on-one coaching to promote successful home ownership.
