Via Oncology is a healthcare software and content company with three key offerings: decision support software, clinical expertise, and data analytics. These tool sets help physicians and their staff consider the best evidence based medicine when making decisions for their patients with cancer. Our mission is to improve outcomes for patients by reducing unwarranted variability in care. Via was created in 2009 at UPMC and is now part of Elsevier, the information analytics business specializing in science and health. Today, Via still has very much of its start-up culture and passion and employees draw their energy from each other and the very real mission of improving the outcomes of cancer patients. Employees are able to engage with practicing oncologists throughout the Via Network in a variety of ways which allows every staff to learn as much as possible about cancer and its treatment. Via's offices are in the vibrant and quirky Strip District of Pittsburgh with amazing views of the Allegheny River. We believe that staff are at their best when they can be creative and relaxed and this is reflected in our focused, but laid back office style which highlights comfortable attire, flexible hours, and both planned and spontaneous group activities. Most staff work from home two days per week which creates a great rhythm between days of focused work vs. days of more face to face collaborative interaction. Our staff profile is an amazing group of smart, open-minded, self-aware people who dont have time for red-tape or office politics. We work very hard but also have lots of opportunities for social interaction and continuous learning.
