About
The Township of Woodbridge, the oldest continuing township in the State of New Jersey, was settled in 1664 and granted a charter on June 1, 1669 by King Charles of England. Located in central New Jersey, it is called by many as “The Crossroads of New Jersey” as many of the most traveled roadways bisect the township. The township is also known by our slogan, “Ten Towns, One Community.” This is due to the fact that Woodbridge Township a collection of ten separate, yet unique towns that make up one Woodbridge community. These towns include: Woodbridge Proper (07095), Fords (08863), Colonia (07067), Iselin (08830), Avenel (07001), Port Reading (07064), Sewaren (07077), Hopelawn (08861), Menlo Park Terrace (08837), and Keasbey (08832).
