About
Every student who graduates from Montgomery County Public Schools deserves the opportunity to go to college or technical school, regardless of his or her family income, race, or whether his or her relatives attended college. CollegeTracks changes the lives of individuals, their families, and their communities by giving low-income, first-generation-to college students the chance to go to college and succeed there. Since 2003, CollegeTracks has helped thousands of students find a path to success. CollegeTracks’ Mission - To improve college access and success for the rapidly growing number of Montgomery County’s students who are most at risk of not attending college – low- to moderate-income, first-generation-to-college, minority, and immigrant youth. CollegeTracks’ Program - Gives students and families hands-on help with all aspects of the college process: selecting and applying to colleges, obtaining financial aid, and achieving college success. CollegeTracks’ Impact - In the 2018-19 school year CollegeTracks will serve over 1,600 high school and college students. - 99% of CollegeTracks students are accepted into at least one institution of higher learning. - Our 2017 Cohort was offered $11.5 million in financial aid. - CollegeTracks Success Scholars are 3-4x more likely to graduate than their low-income peers. CollegeTracks was AGAIN selected by Catalogue for Philanthropy as "one of the best small charities in the Greater Washington region" for 2018-19.
