OU Medicine has a tradition of providing quality patient care since 1910. In 2018, OU Medicine became a locally owned and operated nonprofit corporation. With a focus on teamwork and inclusion, we desire to attract, develop and retain outstanding and diverse staff, physicians, faculty and learners. As we grow to address the needs of our community, there is much on the horizon for OU Medicine. We are currently building a new adult patient bed tower, slated for completion in 2020. When it opens, it will be the largest health care building project in state history, with 940 patient beds across three hospitals. OU Medicine is 12,000 employees strong - with more than 4,000 working in our hospitals. We offer services not provided elsewhere in the state, including Oklahoma's most comprehensive pediatric care at The Children's Hospital, the state's only level one trauma center, and the state's only NCI-designated cancer center at Stephenson Cancer Center.
