SIS is a Mumbai-based shipping company that has been operating ocean going tankers for the last 17 years after being incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956, in Mumbai (India) on 2nd of May, 2002. The company is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company by the American Bureau of Shipping and is in conformance with the quality standards set by them. It is also registered under the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India. SIS is committed to safe transportation, efficient services and cleaner seas. It recognizes the responsibility of the safety of life at sea and ensures a cleaner environment, hence develops and maintains high standards of its fleet. The company on account of its performance has been a profit making company since inception. SIS currently owns a fleet of 15 ships namely 2 crude oil tankers and 13 product carriers. The crude oil vessels cater to the nation?s requirement of crude oil import while the product tankers transport various refined oil products to the points of consumption. SIS owns ocean going oil tankers and performs regular sale and purchase with the objective of fleet up-gradation and renewal, to cater its client?s needs. It has a healthy mix of vessels in the Time as well as Voyage charter market, all of which fly the Indian flag. SIS has a highly professional and well-qualified in-house team in all aspects of the business it conducts, be it technical, chartering, ism, finance, purchase, manning and legal matters.
