GlobeMed envisions a world in which health – the ability to not only survive but thrive – is possible for all people. We aim to strengthen the movement for global health equity by mobilizing a community of students and grassroots leaders to improve the health of people around the world. Founded by students in 2006, the GlobeMed network engages over 1,000 undergraduate students at nearly 40 university-based chapters throughout the United States and in Rwanda. Each chapter is partnered with a community-led health organization in Africa, Asia, or the Americas.
By building one-to-one partnerships between students and grassroots organizations, GlobeMed fosters the dialogue, collaboration, and mutual learning we need to tackle today’s complex global health challenges. Through their involvement in GlobeMed, our students and partners commit to a life of leadership in global health and social justice. Learn more at www.globemed.org.
