About
Lincoln House Chambers is widely acknowledged as one of the leading sets of barristers' chambers outside of London. Comprising of 68 barristers with 12 Queen’s Counsel and 55 Junior Counsel. The Silks and Juniors in Chambers work very closely together and regularly work as a team on cases of particular gravity and complexity. \r\n\r\nAreas of practice include:\r\nBusiness and Commercial Crime, Fraud, Bribery, Financial Regulation, and General Crime\r\nRegulatory, Inquests, and Professional Discipline\r\nCivil, including personal injury and industrial disease\r\nJudicial review\r\nLicensing\r\nImmigration and Asylum\r\nEmployment \r\nPrison Law\r\n\r\nLincoln House Chambers also have many barristers trained to accept Direct Public Access Instructions. \r\nRecent changes in the law mean that it is now possible for members of the public to instruct barristers directly. For the first time ever, members of the public can have access to the expertise of a barrister without having to first instruct a solicitor. It is not expensive to instruct a barrister. Barristers are self-employed and so do not have the overheads that other professionals do. Operating a range of fee charging options, we agree a fixed fee in advance so that you know exactly what it will cost you before you agree to pay. There will be some cases where you need a solicitor properly to conduct your case. If your barrister advises that yours is such a case, then we can refer you to an experienced solicitor who is right for you.
