The State Collaborative on Reforming Education (SCORE) wants all Tennessee students to succeed in school, college, career, and life.
SCORE drives for changes that transform education in Tennessee – from kindergarten through postsecondary education. We advocate for students, monitor progress, research and innovate new approaches, and engage and empower educators to achieve four goals:
1. All students receive an excellent public K-12 education.
2. All students earn a credential or postsecondary degree.
3. All students are prepared for a career that enables economic independence.
4. Across all goals, all students have equitable opportunities for success.
Our strategic priorities are excellent educators, high expectations, and K-12 to career alignment.
An independent, nonprofit, and nonpartisan education organization, SCORE was founded in 2009 by Senator Bill Frist, MD, former US Senate Majority Leader. We are student focused, research based, and mission driven.
