About
The Keewaydin Foundation provides camping experiences and challenges that help children achieve significant personal growth by living in a community, being independent and living simply in rustic and natural settings. Founded as a canoe tripping camp in the northern wilds of Maine in 1893, by A.S. Gregg Clarke, Keewaydin is among the oldest summer camps in North America. Today, the Keewaydin Foundation runs three summer camps, Keewaydin Dunmore in Vermont, Keewaydin Temagami in Ontario, and Songadeewin in Vermont. The Foundation also operates the Keewaydin Environmental Education Center in Vermont and Ojibway Family Lodge in Ontario.
