About
American Giant is driven by a simple idea: Make things better, make better things. Maybe, like us, you’ve looked around and not liked what you’ve seen. Mega-corporations, obsessed with handing profits over to shareholders, grow bigger and bigger, churning out cheap stuff that leaves us all feeling empty. Meanwhile, working people are left behind. Communities hollow out. And junkyards fill with all that stuff. Maybe, like us, you’ve wondered if there is a better way. If you can do something to make things better. And where you might start. American Giant was founded in a moment of opportunity: where our dissatisfaction with the way clothes were made, met new technologies that enabled smaller supply chains and selling directly to people like you over the internet. We jumped, confident in our belief that, through American ingenuity and innovation, we could go against the current and do better. We started here: by making a better hoodie (and later jeans, T-shirts and more) with honest, human values built in. So when you buy from American Giant, you invest in our values: 1) Durable, not disposable: We make clothing that's durable, built to last—not end up in a landfill. 2) Simple, not complicated: We make our clothes in the USA because keeping things local means we can understand our whole supply chain. 3) Communities, not shareholders: Everything we make is made possible by a supply chain of people. Towns and communities at every step. They touch the product, make it better and in turn are supported and strengthened. They gain skills and opportunity. Their communities are revitalized. It’s a virtuous cycleof good and humanity.
