The Grocers Supply Co., Inc. operates today on the principles and philosophy of its founder, Mr. Joe Levit. He recognized and satisfied the needs of the independent grocer and established a tradition of integrity, compassion, service, and friendship. Our employees are dedicated to maintaining these standards and we are proud to have shared in the success of our retail friends. Joe Levit was 16 years old when he arrived in this country from Russia in 1914. With only seven dollars in his pocket, he went to school, worked part-time at the Magnolia Paper company and eventually became a stenographer.
