About
Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES, chartered in 1948, was one of the first three Boards of Cooperative Education Services in New York State. We offer a wide range of shared services to the individual school districts we serve, including: career and technical education, special education for students with disabilities, itinerant services, general instruction and instructional support. Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) curricula offers high school students eight programs in technology, construction, and human services. Alternative educational programs support students with significant special needs in attaining a high school or equivalency diploma. The New Visions program offers students the ability to explore fields in medicine, government, law, and technology. FEH BOCES also offers adult and continuing education programs to the public. We serve the students of ten component school districts: Brushton-Moira, Chateaugay, Lake Placid, Long Lake, Malone, Raquette Lake, St. Regis Falls, Salmon River, Saranac Lake, and Tupper Lake—a service area of almost 2500 square miles! Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES serves our students and their school districts at our two main buildings, the North Franklin Educational Center in Malone, and the Adirondack Educational Center in Saranac Lake. We also offer two programs at Salmon River Central School.
