Music You Can Feel! On October 5, 2019, the SSO will celebrate the start of our 76th season of beautiful music in downtown Springfield MA. You'll be amazed by the rock star harpist of the Metropolitan Opera, the combined vocal glory of the SSO Chorus, piano prodigies, violin virtuosos, and more! We are the largest professional orchestra in Massachusetts outside of Boston. During the upcoming season, we will perform 10 professional concerts at Springfield Symphony Hall (seven Classical concerts, three Pops concerts), Youth Orchestra concerts, our Chamber Series, and a multitude of musical and educational initiatives throughout the greater Pioneer Valley. We are proud to call Springfield, MA, our home, and are a vested, engaged partner in the expansion and revitalization of our city, as a regional cultural & economic hub.
