YUSA Corporation Company History June 9, 1987 marked the birth of a new U.S. Corporation. Founded through the careful guidance of its two principal companies, YUSA Corporation brought with its inception, a level of state of the art technology unparalleled in the Rubber industry. At the time of inception, YUSA Corporation was a product of a joint venture agreement between the Yamashita Rubber Company of Iruma-gun, Saitama Prefecture, Japan and Lord Corporation, headquartered in Raleigh/Durham North Carolina. The venture enabled YUSA Corporation to take full advantage of the technical expertise of the Yamashita Rubber Company while at the same time gaining the recognition and endorsement of Lord Corporation's highly regarded reputation in the international automotive and aerospace markets. Yamashita Rubber specializes in the production of control tubes, fuel lines, engine mountings, bushings, hoses and other vibration dampening devices for the automotive industry. Established in 1953 Yamashita now, operates manufacturing facilities in Kamisato & Ano Japan as well as Ytec, located in Srimahaphoe , Thailand , which commenced production in 1997, and Santa Oliva, Spain started production in 2000. Yamashita's newest venture is located in Zhongshan City, Guangdong, China and started production in 2002. In 1997, the Yamashita Rubber Company acquired full interest of YUSA Corporation, by purchasing the outstanding shares held by its venture partner, Lord Corporation, bringing a close to a long and beneficial relationship. YUSA Corporation, following in the footsteps of the Yamashita Rubber Company, has become an industry leader in the manufacture of automotive rubber components, specializing in engine mountings (conventional and hydro), bushings, tubes and hoses.
