Cuivre River Electric Cooperative (CREC) is headquartered in Troy, Missouri, with a branch office in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. We belong to, and were built by, the communities we serve.
CREC doesn’t have shareholders or customers; we have members, and we’re not only committed to providing them with reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy, but we are also passionate about enhancing the quality of life for our 65,000+ members in Lincoln, Pike, Warren and St. Charles counties.
We are involved in our local schools and have contributed back to the community through the Operation Round Up grant program and through energy efficiency rebates to residents and businesses in our community.
Although we’re local and independent, we’re also part of something bigger: across the country, local cooperatives work together to develop new technologies and infrastructure. We’re a driving force in helping attract and grow business and industry to our area. And we’re always looking for new ways to help our members save energy, save money and take advantage of the more efficient technology that’s changed the way we live.
We’re also a great place to work. We’re uniquely positioned to be a force for good in our community. And we invest in our employees through ongoing education and training, so we can better serve our members in the places they live, work and learn. That’s just one of the seven cooperative principles CREC and all cooperatives follow.
