Pioneer provides a diverse spectrum of care and services to people who are aging or dealing with life-changing illness or injury. As an employer, we are mission driven and seek others who have the skills and internal drive to make a daily difference in peoples' lives.
As a workplace, PioneerCare has a long-held culture of openness and support for our coworkers, preparing and empowering each of us to be the best we can be. It starts on day one, with robust orientation and onboarding.
In addition to a competitive benefits package, opportunities to support advancement include:
- PioneerCare invests a great deal in training CNAs and TMAs for certification, picking up the cost for each individual who commits to work here.
- Going further, PioneerCare provides generous scholarships for employees who go to college to pursue a certificate, diploma, or degree in a related field.
- Finally, for new nurses, PioneerCare's Student Loan Repayment Program covers an employee's student loan payments as long as they remain an employee at PioneerCare.
People of PioneerCare fulfill a variety of roles:
- Direct care staff include registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), trained medication aides (TMAs), and caregivers.
- Other supportive roles include homemakers, cooks, and other dietary staff; housekeepers, maintenance staff, activities staff, and people with various administrative roles.
PioneerCare is a non-profit organization and is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
