Survive the Streets started by giving warm clothing to people living on the streets of Seattle on Thanksgiving Day in 1999. Last year, during our annual event, we distributed 200 coats and 100's of warm blankets, 200 plus sleeping bags and many other useful items to help the homeless make it through the cold nights.. This will be our 17th year of gearing up Seattle's homeless so they can survive the winter. We expect to serve over 300 homeless people with our pop up store in Pioneer Square on Thanksgiving day, so we hope you can help in some way. We are looking for companies, schools or churches to do gear drives the first 2 weeks of November or donate to our nonprofit. We will also have a FUN raiser on November 5th with lots of great items to be auctioned off (wines, vacations, restaurants and more)... so bring your check books and credit cards :) We are a registered 501(c)3 so all donations are tax deductible.
