In August 2020, Basecamp Recovery, LLC opened a multi-disciplinary, self supporting addiction treatment center at 815 W Broad St in Columbus, OH. Funded predominantly through medicare and medicaid reimbursement, we believe we have found a model that is both the right treatment plan for patients and economically viable for long term sustainability. Basecamp is an integrative facility dedicated to bringing order back to patients and families living with substance use disorder and mental health challenges. Our facility will have 3 key components for success. The first part will be to offer withdrawal management with Suboxone, Vivitrol, and other adjuncts. Second, we will connect patient to evidence based behavioral health support combining individual therapy along with group counseling. It is imperative that patients look inward to address scars from life trauma and adverse childhood events. These experiences are often a strong link to a checkered road traveled. Third, we will provide case management and social work support to help navigate the court systems, find employment, find housing, and become a functioning and instrumental member of society. All of these can be especially difficult as these patients often have a challenged past and legal record that follow them. With our network of support, we will be alongside them as they navigate these challenges. Basecamp Recovery Center will serve as an education center for medical students and resident physicians. Here students will interact with patients at different stages of recovery gaining hands on experience, learning the principles of addiction medicine, as well as, diagnosis criteria and better understanding treatment options available.
