United Tribes Technical College, a 230 acre campus that is governed by the five Tribes of North Dakota. American Indian students are joined by students of all racial and ethnic backgrounds. Classes began in September 1969. Thus, it became the second tribal college in the nation and one of the founding institutions of the American Indian Higher Education consortium of tribal colleges nationwide.
