Dr. Thomas Brady, often called the father of sports medicine in Central Indiana, left an enduring legacy of care and compassion. He inspired a team led by Dr. John McCarroll and Dr. Art Rettig to join intellects, combine energies, and start the first stand-alone sports medicine clinic in Indianapolis. It opened in 1980, just across the street from Methodist Hospital. Though he passed away in 2011 days before he turned 96, Dr. Brady's dedication to providing excellent care to professional and everyday athletes lives on at Methodist Sports Medicine.
Our practice has been totally focused on patients from the second we turned on the lights. In our early days, we began offering a walk-in clinic for injured athletes. We started a patient hotline. And we gave patients branded T-shirts and shorts to change into for their exams, so everyone who saw them afterwards would know how proud we were to have them in our care.
Today, Methodist Sports Medicine offers you some of the best-trained, most experienced, and dedicated physicians in the field of orthopedic surgery and sports medicine.
