Little Miami has consistently raised the academic bar, including the elimination of all general level courses, challenging students to higher levels of achievement. We also provide the support students need and the time for teachers and counselors to get to know each student. This strong academic focus is evident at all grade levels. More than 50 percent of eighth graders take Algebra I, as well as a foreign language for high school credit. A process that mirrors High Schools That Work but is appropriate for junior high school students is now in place and we anticipate raising the bar for junior high school students as well, while providing them the tools they need to achieve excellence. Little Miami Schools is committed to preparing each student to become a lifelong learner, reach his or her potential and excel in our complex and shrinking world.
